Status: The Research Center in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (CIBIO) is a R&D Unit belonging to ICETA (Instituto de Ciências e Tecnologias Agrárias e Agro-Alimentares), which is a non-profit private scientific Institution from the University of Porto with administrative and financial autonomy.

It also includes the Center of Molecular Analysis (CTM) in Guilhabréu, which is a laboratory focused on selling several services to the community based on the application of genetic tools in animals and plants.

Research team on fishes and aquatic organisms
