Data

The following file Eurodiad.1.0 is the data base which was used in Béguer et al. (2007) analysis about the factors explaining the historic distribution of diadromous fish in western Europe.

This file can be downloaded freely if you agree to mention the following source in any research report or scientific paper using these data.

Béguer, M., Beaulaton, L. & Rochard, E. (2007) Distribution and richness of diadromous fish assemblages in Western Europe: large scale explanatory factors. Ecology of Freshwater Fish 16, 221-237.

Feel free to contact us if you have any information about presence/absence or abundance of diadromous fish in other European basins (a contribution form can be downloaded). These data and their source could contribute in a new version: Eurodiad 2.0 which will provide the distribution of all the diadromous fish regularly encountered in the whole Europe. This issue is planned to be available by the end of 2008.
